Hey guys, I need help with a router I just purchased for work. I am trying to set it up as just a normal, standard network with no security (it's at a ranch house that nobody but ranch owner and workers can even get within 15 miles of). We are using Hughesnet as our ISP (no other option, and yes, they are worse than you would believe).
I logged in, set it to no security, go to the wan setting and it's on dynamic IP. I go to status, and it shows that it's connecting (to my modem I assume), yet stays in that status indefinitely. There is no internet access using it.
Web pages load up as soon as I plug directly into the modem. Kind of disheartening for something I just spent 100$ on.
Also purchased a tp link antenna that made no difference vs the factory one, so that's disappointing too. Is anyone familiar with the router, and do you have any ideas? I have set up routers many times, but nothing more than basic stuff for a basic home network. Thanks,
Ian
