Need Help With CD Burner

Hi,

I have a Lite-On CD Burner (LITE-ON COMBO SOHC-5236V) that will no longer read cds and dvds or burn cds. I don't want to RMA the burner unless it is absolutely necessary. All the cables are properly attached . Does anyone have any suggestions to test or fix this problem?

Well it it doesn't read or burn anything, then chances are its broken, so go ahead and RMA it.
