hey guys i have a problem, i am trying to start my own computer repair site, just a out of home deal, and have built my website offline via Dreamweaver 8. what the problem is, is i bought a domain name on godaddy.com, so i now have an account with them. after that, not having any luck finding a simple "upload html" so i can put in my own html code that i made with dreamweaver, and the files to go along with it, there customer support is crap, and are no help.

if any one knows anything about godaddy.com, let me know, i want to use my own html but i cant find that option anywhere, i dont know if its in there "website tonight" software, or what. I also had purchased a dedicated IP, and a hosting site as well, and i did find a place to upload my file to apparently an ftp server, but no luck on the actual building of the site with html. please help i am getting migranes just looking at their site let alone browsing around aimlessly on it anymore. thanks...

eh?
1) You write you html code in files on your own machine
2) You connect to you ftp account with godaddy
3) You copy your files to the godaddy server via the ftp connection (probably to a folder called public_html or something simiar
4) Thats it you files are now able to be viewed on the web

i guess my problem is in connecting to the ftp site. i uploaded my folder to a ftp thing last night, the folder had all of my dreamweaver files and pictures in it. i have tried connecting to the ftp server using dreamweaver but it always times out. what should i do once i have my folder uploaded on the ftp part of godaddy? i dont know where to put the code to access the files from that folder.

this is what i see....

i only put the "cr-repair" fodler on there, but now i dont know what to do.

well, i emailed the "'help" center, and this is all they say....

Dear Chris Rexing,

Thank you for contacting Online Support.

Please note that you have setup cr-repair.com with Website Tonight. You will have to create your site's content through Website Tonight (WST) and publish through that application for your site's content to be viewable on the internet. We have multiple Help Center articles on how to use Website Tonight. You can view these articles by Clicking Here. Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.

Sincerely,

So I guess I need to figure out how to get this website tonight crap to read my HTML stuff and files in my folder i uploaded on the FTP server somehow?

well i found the spot where to put the actual html code in, but it isnt pulling from the folder i uploaded. so it doesnt have the correct fonts, or show any pictures or graphics. ideas??

I have an idea - ditch the website tonight thing. Just get a regular hosting account somewhere else. That is some kinda proprietary junk GoDaddy has.
