Need help with drivers!

hi,
i have just done a clean install of windows XP professional. When i go into the device manager, it comes up with 2 yellow question marks. One is ethernet controller, and the other is multimedia. Im only really fussed about the ethernet controller though, because i tried plugging in my ethernet cord from my modem into the pc, and it didn't even pick it up. I have looked on the HP website, with no success. Can somebody tell me what drivers i need and where i can get them from? The pc is a compaq evo d320.

If you could help, that would be great!

Is it under "network", because i only need the drivers that will get the ethernet port working because at the moment, i plug it in and it doesn't even pick the internet/ethernet plug up.

yes, the network drivers are what you need. It can't hurt to update them all though.

hi again,
i have downloaded every one of the network drivers and it still didnt pick up the ethernet plug. The motherboard is a compaq evo d320, and the motherboard chipset is an intel brookdale-G-i845GE. I am running XP professional on it by the way, and the ethernet port is onboard the motherboard.

There seems to only be drivers for win2000 and NT
