Need help with external hard drive formatted in Mac

I have an external hard drive that I formatted with a Mac laptop when I was in school. I have a lot of music downloaded on it. I had to turn the Mac back in when I finished school.
I can't get my PC laptop to read what's on the hard drive. Is there a program I can use with my PC that will enable it to read it? What should I do?
 
Hmmm... I would bet there is a program somewhere that would allow you to read whatever file system Macs format in, but I've never heard of one. If you can get access to a Mac again, you could burn the information on a CD or DVD or if you have another external hard drive or flash drive, if you format it to FAT32 you could use it to transfer the files.
