Need help with my monitor please

24" Samsung 2443BW

This is the monitor which I am using now and I've been watching HDTV with it.

However, the quality isn't as good as I expected, so my question is : is my monitor capable of displaying HD quality?

The resolution I'm using it 1920 x 1200.

I have a USB receptor

I can display a couple of HD channels, however it's the outcome that puzzles me because it's not as great as i expected.
