Need help with my rig!

I recently got a new GPU for my gaming rig. I am barely out performing my old crappy gpu. I am pulling 10-20 fps on games like defiance, metro last light, and DayZ.
I have a fx-6100 @ 3.3
asus HD 7850-drivers up to date-(I had a NVIDIA GeForce GT 520)
8gb ram @1600
650W PSU
N68-VS3 FX MOBO


I have researched this same build online and no one else seems to be having this problem. Any info would be nice!

You got the onboard disabled? Have it set in the bios to boot to the PEG/PCIe first.

What I would do is download driver sweeper and boot to safe mode and then run it to remove any leftover nvidia drivers in case they are causing a conflict. Also what is the exact model of power supply do you have?

I ran that program and got rid of all nvidia software, but now it wont even load games and comes up with messages like " shader3.0 required" or "direct x 9 not detected"

Okay, I resolved the above problem. but the games are still running very slow. it is a 650 w corsair siver

Can you test the video card in another system to verify its the card?
