Need help with new drive.

I just installed a new HD (Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB) in my first build (i7 3770K, ASUS Z77 MoBo, Windows 7 64 bit) but it doesn't show up with my other drives in the computer window. It does show up under Disk Management in the lower pane as Disk 0, 1863.02 GB, Online. I'm thinking it needs to be formatted but I'm unsure how to do it.
I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get this drive operational. I've been away from Windows for several years and don't know my way around as well as I used to.
 
Right click the drive in Disk Management, then select New Volume and follow the prompts to format it.
 
I feel that it was sufficient. Had he asked for help I'd be more thorough, but I don't think it was necessary. Don't underestimate the kid.

You're excused and I was clearly being sarcastic, having called him by first name, I know who he is and didn't mean anything by it. That being said when you do as much as I told him to do you receive the same prompts you would as if you did as he said, and if a drive is unassigned to a letter it will be at that point.
