Need help with new motherboard.

I'm getting a new motherboard since my computer is missing a PCI E/AGP (it says PCI Express x16 on the motherboard but there is no slot -.-) and I was wondering what needs to be compatible with my current computer. So far I know the processor, the RAM, and the hard drive. Is there anything else I should know, also, if I get a new one, what is involved with setting it up? Just reconnecting wires and setting the BIOS? Also, does anyone know of some good motherboard brands?

It would be greatly appreciated if I could get some answers.

Specs are in my sig.

Thanks,

Is your pentium 4 a socket 478 or a socket 775? I don't believe you can get a socket 478 PCIe board, and the choices for a socket 775 board with PCI-e and DDR (not DDR2) memory are going to be very slim.
