need help with old compaq presario... upgrade options?

so I have a Compaq Presario sr1214nx

what are my options in terms of upgrades? What processors can I use? memory? video card? Thanks

I would really appreciate any response.
 
I think you c an use DDR. Either invest in some case fans, an better aftermarket cooler, and overclock. Unless you can find an better CPU of course.
 
OEM motherboards like his wont support overclocking in the BIOS. More RAM, a video card, and if your processor is decent get a nice monitor and keyboard/mouse set.
 
I was able to overclock my Compaq Presario s4000v, but like Impulse said you can't do it in bios. Over all it was more trouble than it was worth to OC, becuase is only went from 2.2ghz to 2.4ghz stable.. I got to 2.6ghz but it caused random crashes due probably to my weak PSU.. Anyways

I would suggest a video card upgrade and memory upgrade.. thats probably the best way to see a performance upgrade in windows and in games..
