Hey all. Just registered--anyway, cutting the crap, I am moderately acquainted in computers, however, I know that there are different processor sizes and ports for them. I can't just slot in any new processor... So I bought a Vostro V13.
As the geeks know, it's ULV which doesn't help the speed at all. I was thinking of replacing the processor once the 1 year warranty was up, but for this motherboard I am unsure what other processor series can work. Anyone can shed some light on what i3/i5/i7/c2d faster processor I can replace it with, which is not too power consuming to snatch all my battery in a flash?
(doing word documents and browsing the web on balanced in win7 and screen fully dimmed/wifi ON gives me just over 3 hours, wouldn't be very nice if I had to go below 2h for school work......) That's why I need a more vertasile processor that can slow down to below 1GHz or around there when needed if possible too. That is the headache, so any ideas on vertasility too?
I am sure that any advice on which processors suit my laptop will be much appreciated!!! Thanks!!
PS: any 34mm Express Card Slot compatible graphics cards around the place? Any links on buying them too? Thanks heaps.
