Need Help With Programming

Hello again, CF. Since this is a computer forum, i need some help. I want to learn how to make basic programs maybe a calculator something like that. I was just wondering if anyone could go through the painful process of teaching me or give me a link to a "Programming guide for dummies" something along those lines i'm not yet thinking of a major career in programming but i'm thinking of getting a head start if i do chose programming.

P.s: I mean basics basics like starting from scratching basicly teaching a new born human how to be a human.

What programming language did you have in mind?
I've been starting to learn C++ using a guide from here: http://www.cprogramming.com/

And I've been using Dev-C++ as my compiler.

This is the first programming language I've tried to learn and I'm understanding it all pretty well, so I expect you shouldn't have too much trouble understanding it.
