Need help with ram upgrade

Hi

I have a Sony laptop VGNFE 25 GP and want to get some memory for it as i have none I would like to get the Maxx amount of ram possible.

I ran this test-

and it told me that it can take 4gb. 2gb each side.

But when i google it i only fing the max memory is 2gb. 1gb each side

Can any one please help?

2 GB is the max the other poster never said you can take 4GB he just linked you to newegg
johnb is right
if i put it like this which is more believable? a non descriptive post with no direct information, or the information about your specific laptop from sony itself
