Need help with upgrading pc

Hello people, I need some help regarding my 3 year old pc that needs an update. I want to be able to play upcoming games such as; The elder scrolls; Skyrim and Battlefield 3

As i am a "noob" at this stuff i am asking you and in need of your help.
My computer is a xps 630 modell and here is my setup:

CPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

RAM
3,00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2

Motherboard
Dell Inc 0PP150 (Socket 775)

Graphics
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (ATI AIB)
 
how much do you want to spend, the cpu is actually over the recommended i believe, and the main prob might be ram speed, ddr3 might help, but the mobo doesn't support it, and ptherwise a simple new gpu would prob help if you want to be maxing it or getting close to it, look at the gtx560 or 560ti for that, if on a lower budget then the hd6870 might be what you want.
