need help with video card

i want to get a new video card less than 100$. and i need it from a local store around yakima, washington.
my comp specs are:
amd athlon 64 3500+ 2.19ghz
1gb ram
250 Gb hard drive
ati radeon xpress 200 video card. <------- thats why i need a new video card
 
oh yeah by the way. i have a ati radeonx1300 pro. and tried to install it in my comp but it didnt work. it said it there wasnt any video output when i turned on my comp. and the comp sounded like it was struggling.

You have to set the boot video card to the PCI-E one, and not the integrated. Go into the BIOS and set it to the new card. It should work if you didnt do that.
 
When your computer starts up have your monitor hooked up to your integrated, and before windows starts up (you will get some kind of logo for a company) and hit F2 or Del to open the BIOS screen. You will find an option to change the boot up card in there somewhere.
