Need help!

Hi guys,

I bought a used laptop (Dell Latitude D620) that has XP Pro, it was an old company computer. The issue is that it is locked down, meaning it needs a password and username to log in. How can I wipe or reload XP w/o having to buy a new operating system?

Yes. Insert the install cd and boot from it.

Format the hard drive and reinstall the OS.

there is a way try
Ophcrack
you will need access to a computer dowload and burn the image then put the cd in the computer in question should boot into linux and recover the password says it takes a few minutes for most passwords
please note i havent tried it just read about it somewhere and im not sure if it needs the username tho
you could also always wipe the os and put a new one one
