need hlep to speed up video card by overrclockin

can i overclock it?

hey i am pretty sure im goin to b getitng a new video card but it might take me alil while so in the mean time i have the stabdard vid card my computer came wit nvidia geforce fx 5200 and i was wondering if dat card is overclockable lol ?

if it is how do i overclock i never done it b4?
 
i have that card and i overclocked it easily, if you have the latest driver installed then the driver will do it for you (only if you tell it to obviously). What driver version have you got
 
it is kind of useless to oc that card...i did with mine, and only saw maybe 3-5 increase fps in most games...but if you really want to, as dragon said, the driver will let you do it...Also, I don't know exactly which make you have, but my xfx fx5200 came with an oc utility on the software/driver cd

make your computer faster by overclocking the video card? Overclocking a videocard only makes games go faster. Overclocking the cpu would make your computer faster.
 
if you're only overclocking you're graphics card i put up a post a while back asking for help doing this with my old 5600 xt card. there is a registry edit that "unlocks" the overclocking capabilities. after you've "unlocked" it then in the advanced settings for the card there should be something about frequencies and voltages (i think). hope this helped. post back if there is any confusion
