Need internet connection sharing help

Ok I have my computer in my room connected to my router\modem then another comp next to mine networked to mine.
im trying to setup ICS i have shared my lan connection that connects to my modem\router but my other comp still cant get on the net can someone help me.
 
Are you using a crossover cable instead of a regular ethernet cable? Did you run network setup wizard on both computers?
 
normal ethernet from my comp to my router\modem. crossover from my other comp to my comp.
dhcp turned off on the router.
yes i did the setup wizard. but i had to say i connect directly to the net but when i go through a router\modem that isnt directly to the net is it?
