Need Just Some Advise

Well it me again back from my holiday and i was wondering how do i change the setting so like when i install games they go on my new hardrive not my old one and still apear on the desktop and how when installstuff like updates to get them to go on the the new one one more thign if i had a game on my old hardrive and i put a mod for it on the new one would it still work?
 
you need to change the path in which you install it to, to the correct drive i.e. C:\ or D:\ or whatever the name of the required drive is, same with the updates etc i would have thought. I don't know much about gaming but i would have thought that the mod would have to go on the same drive because it would need the other files to run.

Also if anyone know if ntfs i the right thing to have my comp as and has anyone have any more answer to my first questions
