Need Laptop HDD

OK guys, I'm more of a desktop person, but i have this laptop with a 5400 RPM HDD, and it makes some weird noises 70% of the time, So I'm wanting to buy a faster and more reliable one, so since I'm new to laptop hardware, i would like to hear your input from you guys.
 
Or you can get smaller ones for less than half that if you don't need all that space or want to spend the money.
