I need to buy a computer and money's not a problem can anyone direct me to the best possible laptop for school? I don't want to build one. Thanks-Jayce

cant really build one...shop for a toshiba or a dell...they make nice laptops with good battery life...something with a i3 would probably be in the ballpark for you

Do you purely need it for Office stuff, i.e. surfing web, doing assignment, download, play music?
Or do you need it to play games?
Do you need blu-ray?

What size of screen do you like?

Ok I'll check them out, and no I don't need it for games or blue ray just purely office stuff. Is the MacBook pro a good choice?

Mac is good, but they are expensive.

These two are best value, but not my prefered good brand.

HP - core i3 330m, 15.6", 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD - $500

Gateway - i3 330m, 15.6", 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Blu-ray $550

Toshiba is a better brand.

Toshiba core i3 350m, 16", 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 12-cell lithium-ion battery $600

This will have longer battery life as it has 12-cell

Toshiba i7-720QM, 16", 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, GeForce 310M $855

This will be the fastest.

Macs are great computers, although they are a bit more pricy, they are a much better computer for such office work.

Also, if it is for office work primarily, macs are good as there has only ever been one recored virus for a mac, which was only malware.

I personally use a macbook, and have had it for almost 3 years, and it is still great!

Also, if you want, you can always install windows onto your mac and run both windows and mac.

If you are willing to pay more, it is worth it.:good:
