Need long cabled PSU

I have the Antec P180B case and my PSU barely cuts it for fitting. Some cables are stretched to an annoying point and I would like to upgrade to a PSU with longer cables. The info on my system is on my sig for reference.

Thanks guys.

Bump, as I'm curious about this too. Too add on to his question (sorry if you mind), I'm getting a high end video card (probably a 7900GTX) and will be needing some decent power as well as longer cables. Any recommended PSU's for us?

I upgraded from an Aspire 500W to a 600W Rosewill with modular cabling from New Egg. The Rosewill was the only PSU that 1st page of user reviews didn't report DOA or dies in a week. Had mine about a month now. Seems very quiet and stable. Also not too hard on the eyes has blue light in fan.

A year or so ago I probably would never have considered it. Been very happy (so far).

Thermaltake Xaser II full tower.

I bought an Antec SmartPower 2.0 and the cables are so long in my minitower case that I had to tape up the excess in bundles!

antecs own range are ideal for it, the truepower 2 and smartpower2 series are perfect fits. My p180 has truepower2 and had no problem with it.

I believe that a lot of PSU manufacturers are starting to make longer cables with their PSU's now though

i have a p180 and my psu cables didnt fit. i got an ultra x2 connect psu and there is more than enough room for all the cables.

The Ultra X2 Connect is a little out of my price range, yet I possibly would get it. Does it perform well? I know it has dual 12V rails (one dedicated to the CPU). My current Aspire has one 12V with about 36 amps. The X2 has one 12V with 17 amps and the other is 18 amps. Would this still be enough to run my machine well (see sig for specs)?

I made this thread a while ago asking about long enough cables on a PSU to fit nicely in a P180 case from Antec.

I still have the short cables and really need to get a new PSU with longer cables.

Since more people probably have the P180 case now, would anybody have more suggestions?

The OCZ GameXStream PSU's have long cables :) (600W and 700W versions available )

Nice PSU but a bit too much for what I want to spend. Thanks though.

It's pretty stable, and a GREAT PSU for the price!! (It also has REALLY long cables)

Looks ok, but is it comfortably quiet? I bought the P180 case mainly because it makes for a quiet PC and I would like to keep it that way.

] Thats the same exact PSU I have.

And yes you are right, it does have really long cables, especially the 4-pin plug. If you want to come by again, you can see for yourself how long it is, and if it will work.

Ok, I'll come check it out soon. I need to fit a wireless network card into my case and need the new PSU so I can do that. So I will stop by sometime in the next couple days. I'll let you know.

If you don't want to get a new PSU, you can always get some cable extensions.

Ya I could but then it wouldn't look too good with the difference in cables. I have green mesh sleeved cables right now and they are unique and wouldn't look good with something else. Also I want a new PSU anyways cause the one I have now makes an annoying high pitch noise that I can't get rid of. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I haven't seen extenders for the 4-Pin, but who knows...

When im not using my computer i'll measure the length of the 4Pin so I can let you know about how long it is.

Oh ya, and you may not want to mention it making an annoying high pitch sound ;)
