need mother board help, Advanced users only.

power on 8 beeps blank screen. goes to blue screen Bootblock Emergency Recovery, blah blah attempts to load bios from diskket witch i put in the a: drive to load uptade bios for processor 3.0ghz intel 478socket 800/fsb ddr "motherboard hp-d330 asus-p4sd" note originaly bios 2.04v didnt support 3.0ghz intel had to update bios to 2.46v update bio for 3.0ghz-3.2ghz 800fsb processors all supported by the mother board, 500w power supply tryed 4 different ram cards ddr not gunna list but they are all supported by the motherboard tryed all sticks still gets 8 beeps bootblock and attepnt to load then shuts down and every time i try it again and again the time is shortly decresing in time from start to shut and seem the cpu is getting to hot and shuting down so what could be causing this? i tryd dry just cpu 1 stick ram a: drive. but anyways maybe this was an act of maybe to high of a power supply for an 478stocket mother board? i dont see any spec on power supply ranges for max and min any sugestion would muchly appreciated :]
 
Just wondering, but what brand of bios is in that motherboard? is it an Award bios?
(cant find anything about a 8 beep code for Award bios's tough.. :( )

basically, you need to find out what those beeps mean, because they indicate your problem.
 
got it to not shut down and got a bootblock recovery to work and now im at the post "1801-Microcode update error missing or invaild processor microcode update. please contance hp company to update the microcode update to suport the new processor stepping" when DLing the microcode from HP its in .exe format autorun to windows xp and i cant find the post version to update the stepping to flash the bios, havnt found it yet over the net so might have to make one any ideas starts points c++ ms-dos file bootable?? any sugestions please "HP d330 desktop" board maker ASUS-P4SD need. "Advisory: HP Compaq Desktop PCs -1801 Microcode Patch Error Displayed During POST After System Board Or Processor Replacement 5 Oct 2006"




The latest microcode patches can be downloaded from the HP Web site using the following URL:

and the only version is a .EXE format for windows....
 
okay finally made a disk and updated the microcode, everything is in good shape. except the computer is now turning off and on again?? at random spots after boot up and into windows xp home installation formatting ect.. got it to 90% format then came up with an file error then shut off anything? cpu getting to hot??
