Need motherboard help

Hey, guys long time no see.

Its about time for me to upgrade my computer, and this is what I am getting

CPU: Q6600 GO 2.4 Ghz (you know the specs )
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 260 Core 216
Memory: Patriot 4 GB ( 2 x 2048 MB ) DDR 2 800 Mhz

A couple of questions:

1. How are motherboard brands different, primarily how does DFI or Gigabyte fair against the all supreme ASUS?
2. Where can I find some benchies on pci e 2.0 vs 1.0

Well between Asus/Gigabyte and DFI it depends on what chipset and board model you pick for each, then you would compare them. All three are good brands, actually they are the only three brands I use.

As far as PCIe 1.0 vs. 2.0. If you get a new board get a 2.0 board and not worry about it. It comes down to if you have anything below a 3870/8800GT its not going to get you much of a performance hit, any cards above those you would probable see a hit.
