So my DVD-Drive I just bought for my computer has the SATA interface. My motherboard has two SATA data ports, but no SATA power ports. I am wanting to buy an adapter that will allow me to connect it to my other power (I don't know whether it is Molex or AMP because I can't figure out the difference). Does anyone know where I would find an adapter for that?

This is what you need, if you dont want to wait for the amount of time to order one from like newegg check at a small local computer store, they would probable have one.

For finding one in a retail store forget a place like Circuit Ciry while CompUSA would be the more likely. The first thing there to do however is to see if the sata type power connectors are already provided from a look at the harness for the supply itself. Most newer models ranging from 380w up will see a pair right there.
