Need printer suggestions

So here is my story. I've had HP for years and never had issues other than the cartridges costing so much. A local computer store suggested epson, so I bought the Artisian 810. It's giving me nothing but issues, nmaybe a lemon who know's but I'm done. All the printer does now is say Error and to turn off check for paper jam and turn back on. It leaks ink, gets paper jams, but I do have to say it's easier on ink than my HP's I ran. So I need a new printer, scanner, fax machine. I print 3-5 reams of paper a month. My wife prints out misc. docs. I print out invoices, research and manuals daily. My daughter prints out homework. I also need it to be wireless.

Thanks for the suggestions. Oh and budget under 300.00 us if I need to spend more I will, just don't want issues.

I won't even consider buying an HP printer myself and I try to persuade my clients away from HP as well. I have the pinnacle pro 901 printer myself and its amazing. Uses cheap ink, prints double sided and software can be updated on it via download.

I never had a issue with HP printers. Never shut down and always worked and did everything you mentioned. Ink is not cheap. Always bought high capacity cartridges though. Still have a 722, Photosmart D5160 and a Designer 110 Plus. That dam printer is about 4ft wide. Spent $300 for spare cartridges. No issues here. Wife uses the last printer for Ebay and printing family pictures or something on sweat shirts mostly.

Yeah, The pinnacle pro 901 was only 99.00 here locally and I still didn't get it. I bought the HP for 129.00. I figure HP sells lets say (made up number) 10 million printers and 20% of them have issues that's 2 million pissed off customers. Now lets say lexmark sells (made up number again) 1 million printers with 20% of them having issues that's only 200 thousand pissed of customers. According to Wikipedia HP reveue is 126 Billion vs Lexmarks 4.2 billion. Dunno if lexmark would have been better but either way I appreciate your help and advice. :)
