need scans

alright i recently had a virus, i belive i got rid of it

but i have a lan party i need my comp to run fast and be in good shape

i currently run avg,ad-aware,ccleaner,windows defrag,disk clean up


anything else i can download to make me better

Many people are switching from AVG to Avast!, I would suggest you try it out.

The more programs you download and run, the more system resources you use, so sometimes too many "clean-up" programs can actually slow your system down.

I personally have Avast!, SpySweeper and CCleaner for aftermarket programs, and I defrag once a week or so, and run disk clean up whenever I think about it and have a minute.

I think you're fine with what you use.

Well, it's up to you, I personally use it, and dont recall it ever restarting after a scan.
