Do to some people pranking me byy deleting certain files off of my external, I was wondering is their a good program to protect an external. If any of you have something that works great for you, please share.

there's programs that will lock a folder and only let you access it with a password, I believe MSI has one called Lockbox, but there's probably free things that work similarly

i forget who it was, but somebody wanted to protect their folders with a password...anywho, you can just compress the folders...i had a link up to an article from PCmagazine that gave you the steps. it isnt fool proof, but its free and simple.

hi is this people sitting at the computer or is it over the net if it is people sitting on the computer then i would say unplug it and keep it away buy if it's over the net it would be a job for your firewall(s)

when u have installed it back click on the drive and lock drive with folder lock
when you need to unlock it you put your password in EG.(*******)go browse and unlock click on drive and unlock it
