Need security, webroot stinks!!

I am using CCcleaner, Avast, Malware bytes and micorsoft security essentials. Also I got webroot that was given to me by the wife so I installed it its paid for. I know they are conflicting and ran into that problem right away. I also have webroot on another computer, laptop. Webroot has stopped working on both, I disabled , all others and only enabled webroot but it still will not work. This is on 2 different computers. Webroot is still not working on either so to make things alittle simpler while I figure it out I have tried to unistall webroot on both PC's. My desktop had difficulty unistalling and I am still finding traces (days old on install). The laptop (installed for about 2 years)seems like it just aint happening and it will not let me unistall.


What should I be running to cover all bases as far as security that will not conflict with each other?
 
I tried a few things to unistall and got no closer. Even did a safe start and tried that way also with no luck . Finally decided to break down and install some thing else, the revounistaller and it did the trick. It showed files where webroot was pretty deep. I see it works 10 times better than the regular unistall so I thinkn I will keep it. Thanks
 
I think I spoke to soon, even though revounistaller seemed to take care of the problem I still have webroot running in my task manager processes and services. Any ideas on how to get rid of this? When I try to disable the process or service the comp. wont let me and enables it again???
 
Lets make sure you aren't infected.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here or here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Please keep updating until it says you have the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

If for some reason Malwarebytes will not install or run please download and run Rkill.scr, Rkill.exe, or Rkill.com but DO NOT reboot the system and then try installing or running Malwarebytes. If Rkill (which is a black box) appears and then disappears right away or you get a message saying rkill is infected, keep trying to run rkill until it over powers the infection and temporarily kills it. Once a log appears on the screen, you can try running malwarebytes or downloading other programs.



Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log
 
Ok here a log of the malware , I have this problem on 2 computers that I have unistalled Webroot. I will get the hijack this also.

Also , if you guys dont mind how do I "properly" get rid of these files that have red arrows? By simply right clicking and deleting will this take care of them ? I unistalled the programs and these files are still on the drive. I have never installed anything NORTON and these files are here also.

How can I do this with out downloading more stuff to my computer. Will this download to a flashdrive and run from there. Does this unistall easily If I have to download to the desktop? Thanks

Those files are not programs that need to be installed, just download and run them. Then delete them once ran.
 
Ok thanks , I have ran them in safe mode. I still have webroot running in the processes and cannot remove the file in the second pic. I logged on as administrator and tried to delet the file but it still tells me that I need admin. privledges to delete?

Not sure why you are having such a problem with webroot. However, try right clicking on the removal tool you downloaded and click run as admin. Was there a password set up for webroot?
 
I believe i got it . I had to run this WRUpgradeTool.exe , webroot is not running in the task manager and It also allowed me to delete the files also. Thanks for your help....
