1GB DDR RAM PC-2700 at 333MHz - 1x1024 SO-DIMM
ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 Module with 128MB DDR

o......ok, well its telling u its a driver problem, so still reinstall the drivers for the video card....the drivers would be on a disk that came with the laptop

a higher version? i dont understand? the drivers that came on the driver install cd are the most updated drivers for that card right now?

ya i no, thats my problem, i dont get it either, i get errors with the ATI driver alot, too much, i cant play Half Life 2 now either, says, video driver out of date. i checked ATI's website, and still nothing on my video card, its not even on their website, i even chcekd the discontinued section, its not in there either. my driver is as up to date as it can get but still has the errors :(

no, the version i currently have is: 6.14.0010.5432 , not sure about last 5432, but i no the first number of the last four numbers is a 5

like i just said, catalyst doesnt go with laptop comps, i got my comp from alienware, so its different

I understand you did say that but there is indeed a catyst that do go with laptop comps so that statement is sort of wrong. I understand that it dont work with yours unfortunately as you have said. It's entirely possible that it's not a driver issue anyway. It could be a heating issue etc.

i think your right....... because last night when i shutdown my laptop.... i heard this weid hissing buzzing annoyinng sound coming from the backside of the laptop :( but today its fine.... havent tested any games yet though

if u do have 2 sticks of ram in the computer (which im not sure if u do or not) simply undo the clips at the top and bottom of the ram stick and pull it straight out.
