Need some advice on formatting...

Hi all.....

I have a problem of not being able to turn my laptop off i posted a thread but as yet no-one has replied

So i was thinking of doing a complete format (i have only ever done the quick restore thing)....BUT....

I dont dare because i know that i need drivers for it and if i format it those will be gone

So i dunno what to do now!

I am also thinking of this because when i do the quick restore i ALWAYS get the "blaster worm"......I think it must have come with the computer (B****RDS) !!!!

So any help would be great!!

1. Blaster worm fix: http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/blast.mspx install it before you connect to the net. Same goes for the sasser http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.mspx

2. You can find out the drivers and such for each of your devices in Device Manager (Start --> Run --> devmgmt.msc)

3. The only really important driver you need is the network driver, with that you can connect to the net and get more drivers
