Need some critiqueing on my $400 PC build

So i'm building a PC for a friend, and want to get the best possible set up for $400 off of newegg, including shipping too.

This is the set up i have in mind so far. Please tell me what could be better or anything of that matter, or if i'm missing something.

I would probably swap the 775 parts for an AM3 build. Intel recently ditched socket 775, so it will be hard to upgrade later down the track.

CPU - AMD Athlon X2 240 2.8ghz

DVD Burner - Liteon Black

RAM - G.skill 2gb (2x1) ddr3 1333mhz

OP: If your go with an AM3 build you could get a ddr2 board which, would save a bit more

Also, I do not recommend purchasing an OPEN BOX as they sometime do NOT include an IO Shield/Plate

Yeah i don't plan to buy open box, this PC is for a friend, rather it all be new.
Why the AMD? and ddr3? shes only going to be playing browser games at most, maybe a few older PC games.
