need some help with a PSu

my current PSU (thermal take 650w tough power) isnt enough to run 2 5770s and a tri core. it was running one of them fine, but currently i have been getting random power offs.

i switched out the cards for an old 4670 and obviously it runs fine.

im looking for a power supply on a budget. love thermal take (its all i have ever used)

and was hoping for a PSu that i could upgrade my CPU later on and not have trouble, running an antec 902, i prefer a semi modular
PSu if possible, but if someone here recommends an off brand i haven't used, im willing to try, biggest thing is... i want to use my new cards ad there collecting dust thanks for the help

How is a Toughpower 650W not enough to run two 5770's?

That rig would have to be seriously overclocked to even use 450W, much less 650.

thats exactly what i thought, i dont OC anything the CPU is running stock 2.8 its a tri core... 6 case fans and 1 HDD.... i dont know why it wont work with it... confuses the hell outa me

had it since i built the machine, may of 2009, only ever ran the 4670s in it. and wanted to upgrade, was told my current PSU was fine, but its shutting down on me. =(

yes it is. im going to call thermal take tomorrow, hopefully a solution is at hand.. i dont want to be without a psu for long enough to RMA... im hoping for user error. but i don't have a power supply meter to check anything
