Need some help with wifi thing

I recently had to re-install windows and when I was finished I lost my program that came with the computer, the wifi signal picker upper thing, I was just wondering how I get it back. I have an acer aspire 3050 series
 
I downloaded all the atheros things and still no wireless internet connection choice, Do I have to do somehting after I install these things, also my wifi switch doesnt light up, will it as soon as I download the proper file thing

Go to device manager and download the correct driver.
