Need some help.

So I'm pretty sure I just fried the mobo in my sig but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas as to what may be wrong or that could confirm what I already believe. My system was running fine except it wasn't picking up my second HDD and the front audio panel wasn't working. Understandable as I had just used it in another system I was working on, so I figured I had just not plugged something in all the way. Lo and behold I hadn't plugged in the power connector (I was in a rush putting it back in), so I took care of that real quick like. Now, here's where I think I screwed up, I moved the front speaker plug-in to a different jack. I had it plugged in here

and moved it to pins 1-4 and 9-12 here

and turned the system back on, with no signal to the monitor. All my case fans, my CPU fan, my PSU fan, my GPU fan, both HDD's, and both CD-ROM's spun up but I wasn't getting any video. So I did some basic troubleshooting which included resetting the CMOS and stripping the system down to the bare essentials (CPU, 1 stick of ram ((tried both separately)), monitor, and tried it with and without my main HDD plugged in) all to no avail. I think I may have shorted something on the board when I moved the speaker jack but was wanting to see for sure. I'm posting this from my laptop and would like to confirm what's going on before I go out and get another mobo. Thanks guys!

Well there are 2 audio connections on as u can c. 1 is for the small speaker which makes the beeping noise on power up and the other connection is for the front of the computer ( to hear sounds in windows e.g. though headset ). The 4 pin audio connection is for the startup beep and plugs in next to pwr sw, rs sw and hdd led. The other connection which is bigger can be plugged in by looking where a pin hole is missing on the motherboard and the plug end. Ive been told that plugging in usb connections in the wrong place can break motherboards (i think unlikely), but i dunno about audio. Try unplugging everything, leaving the 2 psu power leads connected in (the big 1 and the 4 pin). Then reinstall the memory and video card (maybe try different 1) and power on by using a flat head screwdriver, if it dont post then somert wrong.
