Need some help...

Well, I had noticed the RAM in my computer was DDR2 400, so I bought DDR2 800 to get a faster speed. I got it today, installed, open up CPU-Z and it says DDR2 400 STILL!!

What is going on!?!? My motherboard handles up to DDR2 800, WHY is it limiting to 400? Can I fix this or am I screwed?

That looks right, it's DDR so it's double data rate, that's how they get the effective speed of 800. 400MHz x2 gives you DDR2-800. I'm 99% of that, but you may want to wait to hear from someone else as well.

Ah, darn What sucks even more is I just looked up the RAM that was in there already, it WAS DDR-2 800 LOL. Man I feel like an idiot now

What sucks even more is that now I wanna upgrade my other stuff
