Need Some Help

I just got a Ati Radeon X800XL graphic card and a Dell Dimension 5150 computer.

I have X800XL on the dell motherboard but i dont know how to uninstall the Graphic Accerlater 950 and change the default graphic card to X800XL.

the graphic accelerator 950?is that onboard video or something?

Because if it is,you go into your bios and find the onboard video settings,and you simply disable it.

Go into the Bios as you boot the machine and disable the onboard video. That or set the new video card(PCI Express?) to the primary video card.

Today, i had lots of bad comments for dell from my friends..


I was wondering if i made a mistake ordering a dim 5150...xD

Secondly, the x800xl needs atleast 300W of power, the power supply gives 305W MAX (from dell) do u think i should change it?


Btw, i was wondering how can i tell which PCI - Express is x1 or x16, just wandering if i put it on the wrong place

the PCI-E 1s slot is like the really small slot,that is about 1/4 of the PCI-E slot x16. And see if the computer shuts down on its own,if it does,contact dell for a new psu.
