Need some Partition Magic help

I can't seem to get anything done with PM 8.0. I've used it to create partitions on my storage disk and now it won't help me out anymore. I want to change the size of some partitions. Each time I set something up to be done it says in "Operations Currently Pending" that I must be in boot mode to execute the operations. What is boot mode? Any suggestions on how to make this work?

I tried that and nothing changed. After I hit apply in PM the disk goes back to what it looked like before I set any changes. I've tried restarting w/o closing PM and after closing it....not sure if that matters, but I thought I'd give it a try.

yeah a lot of people are noticing it... Most junk people say they have is a lie anyway... Why not post this... Does me having a super computer get me a raise at work, more women or somehow make me cool here at the forum?? Ehh did'nt think so.. So what the heck..
