Alright everybody, now I know this is a bit old school for all of you that keep your computers up to date, BUT I can't afford to do that right now so I'm settling for just new ram
This is the motherboard I have:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131073
From what I've gathered, the fastest I can run is DDR2 800 and up to 8GB meaning up to 2GB sticks for each of the 4 total channels.
What I have is PC2-6400 (400MHz) Kingston. And it's set-up as 4x1GB.
What I'm thinking of getting is one of the following:
Crucial Ballistix for $85:

OR
Corsair XMS2 for $70:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184
Now, what I would like to know is:
1. Will I have a problem with either of those?
2. Should I get 2x2GB like that? Or should I get 4x1GB like it's currently set-up? I doubt I'll need to upgrade again, I'll build a new system by then.
3. Is the Ballistix worth $15 more?
4. Any others you would recommend instead of either of these two?
Thanks for any help in advanced!
-Mike
