OK, I had originally installed my SSD incorrectly. But, on advuce from other just completed installing step by step according to the instructions on this forum. Now Computer says my drive is 55 GB with 22GB free and 18GB unallocated. Drive is an 80GB. Why would this be? What do I need to do?

Honestly, they offer steps that i dont feel you need, as long as your on win7, format the drive and it should allocate the entire drive as needed. AHCI was enabled correct?

Thats why the guide says "If you don't want to use a management, simply don't."
How much data/programs did you install?
Is it partitioned?
I personally would not use format. Lets get more info before you decide what to do.
