Need some suggestions for new computer.

Hi. I've been doing some researching and piecing together a computer that I would like to purchase around the end of this month, when there are the black friday/cyber monday deals. Here is what I have so far.

I picked these components because they seem to be very good, from what I've read. However, I'm not really sold on them, so if anyone has any input as to a better part, please let me know.

I really have no clue as to what to get for the motherboard, ram, hard drive, GPU, etc.

I'll be doing some occasional 3D modeling programs like AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor, but mostly for gaming. I'd like to be able to run games like Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, when it is released, as well as WoW at their highest settings at 1920X1200 resolution (or whatever the highest resolution is for that monitor)

My budget is around 1,000-1,250 USD, although I'd like to keep it on the low side of that range.

Also, for any of you that have shopped on black friday/cyber monday before, do you think it possible that any of the components that I've listed will be on sale then? And, is it better to buy the parts on Cyber Monday or Black Friday, in terms of deals, or are they the same thing.

I haven't yet because I thought intel processors were more geared towards gaming than the AMD processors. Are the processors you listed equivalent to the one I listed?
 
For gaming yes, Intels just score better in benchmarks etc etc generally, at the same price point, AMD and Intel will be equal on things like gaming.
 
Oh great. So can either of you mention a comparable AMD CPU that will let me do the things I want to?

Can anyone give me some suggestions as to some of the other essentials, like the motherboard, ram, hard drive, CPU cooler, etc. I'm not sure where to start :S
 
So I updated the parts list to anything I could find really. How does it look? Also, with the ram, what does the timing and CAS latency do? And with the hard-drive, how does the SATA work? Will the ram and hard drive that I picked work well with the motherboard?

Do you guys think any of these parts will go on sale on black friday/cyber monday?

If you guys can find anything cheaper/better, let me know.

Well, no I wasn't planning on running crossfire. Not immediately, anyway. Will a PC with one GPU be able to do the things I want to do?
 
My opinion

Yes, that's a good ideal buy it on black Friday. It will save more money.I think most of the the configuration of computer are nearly resemble. So you just need to choose the brand that you like best
 
Thanks StrangleHold. I have another question, though. Do I really need an aftermarket CPU cooler if I won't be overclocking my CPU at all? Or will it just be a good thing to have?
 
Thanks for all your help StrangleHold. I have another question, though. Can you suggest a DVD burner drive? It doesn't have to be top of the line, just functional and not crazy loud like some are when they spool up.
