need suggestions!! please.

im needing a new mobo that is compatible with what i have. im also interested in a mobo/cpu and memmery upgrade if there is anything that is compatable with my other hardware. if not just a replacement mobo will work if there still available. wouldnt mind making this a better system thou, as long as it wont break the bank. any suggestionsa? im a newb and dont understand all this stuff/lingo.

Your motherboard has a 939 socket for the processor. It takes DDR RAM up to 400 MHz.

Here are a few options for upgrades, the 939 socket processors are hard to find these days. Newegg only has one, I bet if you do some digging around the web you might be able to find more.

well i need a new mobo ro i need to upreade to a newer 1 with cpu. there is a little chip fried through on mine and its performance sucks now. the biggest thing i dont understand is compatability with my other hardware(hdd,dvdrom and) now i dont have an issue upgrading to a newer mobo with a dualcore processer and newer style ram and psu if the hdd and other stuff just plugs in. just dont understand what will work. as of right now i have no other choice but to get an exact replacement mobo, or upgrade to somthing newer or better. this pc has been more of a back up when another takes a poop, we use this. basically i have 2 pcs that are down and 1 that works.
