Is there a way to make my PC connect to the Internet through my wireless adapter as opposed to my ethernet connection? I am using my ethernet to connect to the rest of my home network through a router, and am using the wireless adapter to connect to a wireless hotspot. So I can connect to the Internet through the hotspot or the router, but is there a way to designate which one my computer will use? It seems to use ethernet by default, and I cannot connect to the Internet through the wireless adapter unless I disable my ethernet adapter. Is there an easier way to manage this?

You can enable/disable either adapter in Control Panel->Network and Internet->Network Connections. Right-click on the adapter you don't want to use and select disable.

What operating system? Why are you accessing 2 different networks? A wired connection will always be better than a wireless connection.

I am running windows 7. I have an Internet on the Go wireless hotspot as a backup Internet service. My primary service is fast, but very unreliable. I cannot get the standard broadband services where I live. I use the wireless hotspot to make phone calls through Skype, and occasionally browsing when my ISP has issues.

I know that I can enable and disable the adapter from the control panel. I was just thinking that perhaps there was a more of convenient way of switching. I would prefer not to have to disable my ethernet adapter. I still need access to the rest of my network.
