Need to know what I should replace now and what can wait a bit

Hi guys! I have my gaming PC that my dad and I custom built in 2007 (I think anyway). Anyway, overtime he and I kept it up to date, but about 2009 I stopped gaming on my PC, so we stopped working on it. Anyway, I'm looking to start upgrading it again, so I'm looking for any tips you guys have; from what I have, to what I need to replace, and if you'd like, to suggest what you would replace it with (Price isn't really an issue, but try to keep it reasonable)
The games I would focus on are Crysis 2, WOW Cataclysm (Maybe... not sure if I want to go back) L4D2, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, Black Ops, Mass Effect 3... I would love if it all ran on ultra/highest, but I realize that may not be realistic, if you're trying to keep prices reasonable. Onto what I have!

NVIDIA 9600 GT x 2 (SLI'd)
Intel Core Quad 2.48ghz
DDR2 RAM (2 GB x 2, 1 GB x2)
NFORCE 680i SLI motherboard
my OS will be Windows 7 Ult.
800 Watt Power Supply
this is basically what my case is; I wouldn't mind changing what case i have though =P Antec Case

let me know if you'd like to me to provide any more information, and let me know, in generalities, where to find it. I'm not computer "retarded" but I haven't really delved deep enough into it to really know what's what. Planning on changing that though.

Thanks all! I'll do my own research and ask about it!

Yup, you're in luck. Other than possibly making sure your PSU would be fine (I'm assuming it probably is though), a video card upgrade would do you.

GPU is the smart upgrade and will help. The system still has potential, a quad is a quad. Look into OC'ing if you want to have some fun. I don't know your MoBo or CPU potential.

I think you should get a case with more fans in, if your going to play a lot of games. The Antec Three Hundred should be great for better air flow, and not expensive either.

Getting a cooler case would be far from needed in this situation. If nothing else, he could tidy up his case and/or buy 1-2 more fans to improve airflow and cooling and that would be more than plenty. The money spent towards a completely new case would be better spent on a better video card, unless he simply wanted to get a different case.

Also, while it may or may not be a big deal to him, remember that getting a new case would require him to switch all his components over to the new case rather than merely replacing his video card.

Holy crap! thanks for the responses everyone. I'll try to answer all the questions I can remember.

I live in Seattle, Washington.
My Power Supply is a BFG Tech BFGR800WPSU

Switching out everything doesn't really bother me, as everything is apart atm, as I was cleaning everything anyway, and trying to figure out if all the cords that were loose were actually connected to anything.

This card should last me for some time, right?
