Need to update video card

i have a nvidia 7600 GO for my notebook. I got halo 2 for pc... it runs.... eh, terribly. It responds to my mouse very slowly, lags when grenades hit water etc.
My current card is 256 ded. video ram

-What is the best card that i can stick in my computer?-
 
Unless its very high end, specifically a gaming notebook, its not likely that you can swap out the graphics card as you would with a desktop. Notebooks are, for the most part, not upgradable.
