Need to upgrade from 7800 gt

My video card can not keep up with todays games. It is a geforce 7800 gt pci express 256 mb ddr3. My mob is dfi lanparty ut nf4 ultra-d. I need some advice on a new video card. My top dollar would be around 250$ Any advice would be great, I need to get gaming.

Keep in mind any $250 video card would most likely draw more power than your 7800GT. What is your power supply? If it's not sufficient you may need to consider that in your budget. A good card to go with is the 4850. Should max out plenty of your games and still leave you money for a new power supply or game.

Yeah I agree with kookoo again. The 4850 is an awesome card and it is pretty cheap too.

Do not get the 4850x2, I bought one from newegg and it was terrible. It ran worse than my single 4850. I installed and uninstalled the drivers I dunno how many times. I returned it and bought at gtx 280. Way better. It uses less power as well.
