Need your help everyone!

Ok I have one desktop that is direct connect for the internet while there is 2 other desktops that are wireless and 2 laptops as well. Now every computer has internet working besides one of the laptops. I try to find a network connection and it shows none, which obviously it should. I hit refresh list and nothing.

Can anyone help me on how to try the network to have it connect? I mean there is a network it just doesn't show it
 
My desktop (the one thats direct connect) is the oldest, and then that laptop and the one of the other desktops are about the same age
 
Also on the bottom right hand side theres something that says wireless is turned off, but theres nothing let me turn it on
 
If it helps the laptop is a Dell Inspiron | 600m


Also I just did a defragment since that hasn't been done for awhile
 
What radio signal is your wifi card? 802.11b? G? N? A? What is your router set to?

Can you see any wifi networks at all?
