Need your help

Could you recommend me a very good WiFi signal extender booster or repeater? I have Arris TG862G modem from Comcast xfinity but it's very weak signal and it's in the living room next to TV. There is no way for me to move the modem/router to my room, I've even tried it and it didn't work for some reason.

It should work perfectly fine. Wireless devices are not manufacturer dependent.
