I have an old unbranded PSU (it only says 'PIV Switching Power supply')..
The power it can supply..

+3.3v @ 25A
+5v @ 32A
+12v @ 15A
-5v @ 0.5A
-12v @ 0.5A
+5vsb @ 2.5A
TOTAL: 400W (I don't know if it's true)

Is it enough? I want to replace the mobo and the video (if it's cpu it will be Pentium with HT socket 478) with a better one.
Right now, Jetway (VIA chipset) PT800DBP and GeForce FX 5200.
Question: Do I need PSU replacement?

Please only post one thread, we will see it no matter how many times you post it. Thankyou

That PSU will probably just scrape in, but only just, you might have problems if you upgrade a bit more, or if you overclock, i seriously wouldnt risk it, for the sake of £40 for a new one (or even 20-30 if your on a budget) it really isnt worth rsking it, get a new one.

I suggest you also gave a read of the PSU 101 located here - http://www.computerforum.com/10764-psu-101-a.html
