Aight guys, i dont know if i posted this but my laptop died. (Power Input on mobo died) and i used it as an excuse to build my own custom desktop rig (comes tomarrow gonna be sick). Anyway, i wanted to know if there was any converted to use my laptops 2.5" HD on my desktop? The things got a ton of spare ide slots and its got SATA 2 inputs as well so all i need to no is there a converter? Btw the hd output is on a wierd config cause its deff not any type of IDE ive seen and the label says clearly ATA/IDE. Please Help!

EDIT: Did a bit more research and found out that its and ATA-4 port. Dont no what that is in comparison to SATA-150, SATA-300, and IDE and still no luch on a converter. PLEASE HELP!!

Was mentioned in your other thread that you can just buy a converter for that. They're anywhere from 5$-20$ depending where you look.

whats he said up there, cause i dont think its gonna fit despite the connections are gonna be on the side and not on the back of the hdd.it could be an external drive though
